Mental Health Resources

On this page you can find information about mental health and wellbeing resources. These may be of help to people experiencing mental distress and people who are helping with their care. We will add more resources to this page over time. If you have a resources which you would like including please contact us.

Digital and online resources

There are now a mass of digital reources avaiable to help us to take care of our mental wellbeing. A group of Liverpool service users recently put a range of these to the test. Their favourite free resource is described below. Information about some of the other packages they tested will be added soon.

Living Life to the Full (LLTTF) - This is a free life skills course that aims to provide access to high quality, practical and user-friendly training in life skills. The course content teaches key knowledge in how to tackle and respond to issues/ demands which we all meet in our everyday lives.

The programmes contains audio, text and video clips and also offers the opportunity to print out free short handouts that supplement the course. Longer detailed practical workbooks that develop and build upon the course are available.

Moderated discussion forums are available to help users swap ideas, information and provide mutual support.

Help to get online - Nowadays so much of life takes place online that you can really feel like you are missing out if you don't have access to the internet. Shopping, benefits claims and now lots of useful mental health resources. If you want help to get online or to find out where you can access the internet for free, contact us for details.

Guides and Handbooks

A Service User Guide to the Mental Health Act 1983 (Amended by the Mental Health Act 2007) and the new Mental Capacity Act - This guide, written by service users for other service users, seeks to explain and demystify the mental health system and rules.
