Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Adult Learning Service (ALS) Employment-related 1 day courses

Employment related dult learning one day courses (some are longer) in autumn 2020. 

All of our courses have been Covid-19 risk assessed and we’re here to offer you support at every step on your learning journey.

All English, maths and ESOL courses are free but you will need to call 233 2568 to arrange for a pre-skills assessment before you enrol.

How much will it cost me?
Course marked * or ** are free employability courses for those who are in receipt of certain benefits. All one day courses marked with an * on our course list are employment related or lead to a nationally recognised qualification. If you receive Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance (Work Related Activity Group only) or Universal Credit, these are free of charge. To qualify you will need to show us proof of your benefit status. Proof we accept is a recently dated letter from a Job Centre Plus or similar clear evidence stating the benefit you claim.
