Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Friends of Sefton Park

Due to COVID-19, litter picks are not done weekly but in volunteers’ own time. If you would like to a litter pick kit, sign up for the
group email to receive information on the next kit handover date.


A group of local people and from those from further afield who love and care for Sefton Park and want to see it thrive for people and nature.

We will be calling out for people to help from a constituted group to create aims, a vision and how these can be put into place.

Calls for volunteers

We are looking out for volunteers to help set up, man the fort and close down for some sessions over spring and summer.

How can I access this service?
Meet at Gino’s cafe (central cafe) for litter picks. You can just turn up.
When is this activity on?
See the main description. Litter pick Sundays 11am – 12.30pm during darker months, weekday evenings during lighter months. The park is open at all times.
How much will it cost me?
Litter pick – free, equipment provided. Other activities – £3-4
