We prioritise those aged over 75 and still caring or bereaved.

Chatterbox Action Against Loneliness telephone chat
Free telephone befriending for older people who enjoy a chat. We find out your interests and carefully match you to one of our DBS-checked and trained volunteers. Your befriender will call once a week at a time that suits you both for a friendly chat.
A Letter from Louise pen pal befriending.
A Letter from Louise – for those who like to receive a friendly letter to share stories about their lives, families and interests. Anyone can sign up for our free pen pal befriending, but we are particularly keen to hear from older people including care home residents.
Postcards from the Past – for those who like to receive friendly postcards that often trigger memories and smiles. Our pen pal befriending is fully safeguarded with correspondence sent via our office and no personal addresses shared.
