Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Please see the Withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer notice from NHS Digital for more information and guidance.

Salvation Army – Walton: Activities

Due to Covid-19 all weekend services and all weekday activities are suspended.

Our centres opening times have been reduced to 9am – 12pm on Mondays, and 10am – 12pm Tuesday to Friday as a result of the government and The Salvation Army’s central guidleines, and also because of low staff  and volunteer numbers.

Volunteering

Volunteers would each have to fill out The Salvation Army Volunteer Forms with references in place and they would not call on any members of the public to help with this venture, so all people would be known to them.

Liverpool Walton JustGiving page

The Salvation Army works with some of the most vulnerable people in society. As we face the worst public health crisis in our lifetime, people on the margins need us now more than ever.

From running food banks and checking up on people who live alone, to offering counselling and supporting NHS isolation units, Salvation Army churches all over the country are responding to the crisis in dozens of different ways.

Please visit the Liverpool Walton JustGiving page and donate what you can. Help us support as many people as possible.
