Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Women’s Health Information and Support Centre (WHISC)

The Drop-In at WHISC’s Centre is temporarily closed. Staff are still based at the centre and will be opening for Appointments only.

  • All classes are free to attend but voluntary donations are always welcome. If you are booked to attend a class or have an appointment, please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the class is due to start.

WHISC are a Hate Crime Reporting Centre. A hate crime is any incident which the victim, or anyone else, thinks is based on someone’s prejudice (e.g because of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or gender). We are here to support you.

Tuesday

  • 10am – 12.30pm Soul Spa at WHISC with Jan Evans – Please call to book. 5 spaces available. We may choose to pre-record these sessions and post on Facebook, so please do keep in touch.
  • 10.30 – 11.15am Fun Outdoor Exercise Class – St. James Garden, Anglican Cathedral (weather permitting)
  • 2pm Ukulele  via Zoom. Please email moyramahoney@whisc.org.uk to find out more

Wednesday

    To attend either of the Mental Health Support Groups, please telephone WHISC on 0151 707 1826 to book a place. If the session you’d like is full we will offer you a place in the other. If neither is free, then you will be top of the list for the following
    week.

Thursday

  • 11am Micro Greens Course at WHISC  Learn how to produce Micro Greens. Did you ever grow mustard cress in a saucer or a small tray when you were at school? If you did, you would have produced what we call micro greens. This
