Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Please see the Withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer notice from NHS Digital for more information and guidance.

FACT – Autism-friendly film screenings

Film screenings especially for people on the autism spectrum or with other special needs and their families, friends and carers.

Our relaxed Autism Friendly screenings are adapted in a variety of ways to help reduce anxiety and over-stimulation and ensure a safe, enjoyable cinema experience for people with autism, learning difficulties and/or other sensory sensitivities.

The full list of our upcoming screenings can be found here. Screenings are updated regularly.

What to expect at the screening

These screenings take place in the morning when the venue is quieter and a number of adaptations will be in place to ensure they are accessible to those within the neurodiverse communities and their families, friends and carers.

The adaptations are:

  • No trailers or advertisements will be shown before the film
  • The lights will be left on low throughout the film
  • The film will be played with a reduced volume
  • You are free to move around, make noise and sit where you like
  • You are welcome to take a break and leave and re-enter the screen whenever you need to
