Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

L8 Community Cycle Club

A community cycle club based in L8.

Rides start at the Florrie on Mill Street on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.

There is another cycle club based in Greenbank Sports Academy L17, which also runs cycling skills sessions and incluside rides.

Gentler pace rides starting from the Florrie Building in Mill Street (8 – 12 miles)
Monday 14 October
9:30 am – 1 pm
Strawberry Fields Forever (12 miles)

Through Princes, Sefton & Calderstones Parks along quiet roads to Strawberry Fields for refreshments.  There will also be time to look at the gardens.  Return via the Prom and Festival Gardens before following quiet roads back to the Florrie.
Monday 28 October
9:30 am – 1 pm
Marina, Promenade & 3 Parks (8 miles)

This ride includes sections on quiet roads as well as traffic free sections.  We’ll stop at Otterspool Cafe for refreshments.

Community Bike Repairs take place on Wednesdays 3.30-5pm at the Florrie. Free bike repairs undertaken & mechanical maintenance on electric bikes. Contact tony@theflorrie.org to book.
