Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Liverpool City Council – Liverpool Allotments

Allotments available for rent to local residents to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers.

An allotment is an area of land which is rented on a yearly basis to local residents and community groups.

The purpose of an allotment is to grow your own food, whether that is fruit, herbs or vegetables. Flowers can be grown on an allotment but they are mostly for growing edible crops.

Sites are either owned by the local authority, private landlords or societies.

2024 plot rental charges

The annual plot rental charges for the tenancy period 1st January to 31st December 2024:

  • Full plot: £55.00
  • Over 60s concession: £27.50

How to apply

Each allotment society is responsible for allocating allotments and managing their waiting list, if they have one.
