Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Please see the Withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer notice from NHS Digital for more information and guidance.

Liverpool Homeless Football Club

Football sessions for anyone from a socially excluded background.

Drop in Football Games in Liverpool

Come and drop in at one of our football sessions every Tuesday 10:00 – 12:00 at The PowerLeague Liverpool (formally known as The Pitz). These sessions are for anyone from a socially excluded background, who wants to come down and have a kick about and meet new people.

Our sessions are very flexible and we make them available to people of all abilities. We operate a walk on/walk off policy meaning if you’re tired you can go and have a rest. It’s not about intense exercise, we see this more as a way to get people together.

Walking Football in Liverpool

Walking football is the chance for people who aren’t as mobile, to get involved in the game. There is simply no running in this game. However, you still have all the banter, friendship and camaraderie that comes with playing football.

Our Walking Football sessions run on a Tuesday morning from 11:30 to 12:30. We play at Power League Liverpool, formally known as the Pitz in Kirkdale. We started the sessions with some staying from our earlier games. We have had participants turn up with their support workers, this works well with getting people out and about and engaging within their communities. Everyone who gets involved worked well with each other and gained support from people who don’t judge.

The sessions always start with a warm-up, then skills, fun games and into a competitive match. Everyone engages fully, even those who are less mobile or of lesser ability.
