Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Please see the Withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer notice from NHS Digital for more information and guidance.

Local Solutions – MyTime for carers

Connects unpaid carers who could benefit from a break from their demanding roles with businesses and organisations who kindly donate complimentary leisure, cultural and educational activities.

A carer is anyone who cares unpaid for a friend or family member, who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without their support. Carers must live in Liverpool to benefit from ‘MyTime’ and must be caring for someone over the age of 18.

You don’t have to have a carers assessment, however we do encourage it and we would recommend a carers assessment just so the carer can get the best help that they can possibly get that’s out there.

How it works

  • Organisations and businesses kindly donate a contribution to ‘my time’
  • This offer is passed on to carers who are members of ‘my time’
  • The ‘my time’ team will then liaise with the organisations and businesses to book the carer in
  • The carer enjoys the break
