Taekwondo classes in Garston for beginners and advanced students age 5 upwards.
Our club is family-friendly, welcoming students of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. We have
classes suitable for beginners and advanced students; children and adults; casual attendees and dedicated tournament competitors.
At North West Spirit Taekwondo, we try to mix high standards of performance and discipline with a fun and friendly atmosphere. Our coaches are dedicated to encouraging students to push beyond their expectations and to reach their full potential.
Can I train if I am disabled?
Tae Kwon-Do is open to all students, and of all levels of ability. There are students and instructors with disabilities, such as amputees, and those with hearing & sight impediments. Disability does not have to be a barrier to training.

- First lesson free. After that, just pay as you train: £4.00 per 1 hour class (January 2022) All taekwondo students are required to have a licence, which validates our insurance and provides students with membership of our association, Global Taekwondo International (GTI). We require all new students to complete a licence form before they train with us, and the annual fee of £25 should be paid as soon as possible.
- What should I bring with me?
- Beginners to tae kwon-do can wear any loose, comfortable clothing appropriate for training. Students must eventually purchase an official white ‘dobok’, or training suit, if they wish to grade for belts.
