Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Please see the Withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer notice from NHS Digital for more information and guidance.

RAWD

Skills based performing arts workshops weekly for disabled people 16+ in Liverpool city centre (workshops are also run in Birkenhead).

RAWD is a company dedicated to helping disabled people grow within the arts. Our focus is on enabling disabled artists across Merseyside to engage with drama and enhance their skills in a supportive peer-led environment.

We provide safe and challenging spaces for disabled people to create, develop and showcase their work. RAWD aspires to explore new and innovative ways to turn up disabled voices in the arts as a whole, with fun, inclusivity and empowerment at its heart.

What can you get out of working with RAWD

Artistic / personal development:

Growth in self-expression, self awareness and self-discovery.

As well as our weekly sessions and performance opportunities we arrange trips to see theatre shows and take part in other activities outside of our workshops.

Emotional wellbeing:

Workshop provide a space for people to explore and express a range of emotions in a safe and supportive environment.  We really believe creative expression can support people to better understand and manage their emotions, promoting emotional resilience and boosting overall wellbeing.

Self-expression and communication:

Workshops encourage people to express themselves authentically and develop communication skills. By honing their ability to express thoughts, emotions and ideas, participants can enhance their self-expression and improve their interpersonal skills.

Social support and connection:

RAWD workshops foster a sense of community and social connection, which is crucial for mental and emotional wellbeing. Participants have the opportunity to connect with others who share similar interests and experiences, providing a supportive network and reducing feelings of isolation.

Confidence and self-esteem:

Engaging in creative activities and receiving positive feedback and support from facilitators and peers can boost people’s self-confidence and self-esteem. Through the development and presentation of their creative work, they gain a sense of achievement and belief in their abilities.
