Support for Internet Explorer

It looks like you’re using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your web browser. This is now considered ‘end-of-life’, and Microsoft is withdrawing support for it because it uses outdated technology. This means that it will no longer receive important security updates and previous bugs will not be fixed.

This means that the risk and cost are placed on service providers to develop twice for modern browsers and again for Internet Explorer. As free, modern alternatives are available for most platforms it is difficult to justify spending public money on further development.

Please see the Withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer notice from NHS Digital for more information and guidance.

Street League

Helps young people find work, training, apprenticeships, education and traineeships.

Sport and Employability Academy

Street League helps unemployed 16-30*-year-olds find work, training, apprenticeships, education and traineeships. Not only will you build your confidence and develop skills for the world of work – you’ll also get fit, make friends and have fun.

If you want to gain valuable qualifications and even get work experience opportunities with one of our employer partners, this is for you. It’s about your goals – we work with you to find the right opportunity and empower you to own your future.

Our employability programmes, which typically last between 10-15 weeks, provide an inclusive approach to help young people find suitable work, training opportunities, modern apprenticeships, or further education.

These programmes typically run from Monday to Thursday, and include classroom sessions, employability workshops, sports and fitness activities, work experience events, site visits, and one-to-one mentoring. Attendance is free, and where possible, we also offer funding to cover travel and associated expenses based on individual circumstances.

*The website also says 16-24 at the top. Facebook says 16-30.
