Litter. It’s one of those things we wish wasn’t a problem, but on the flip side, the innovative ways the people of Liverpool have come up with to tackle the problem make us proud to be part of such a strong and caring community.
There are so many ways to litter pick right now, whether it’s alone, as part of a group, to music or even floating on water it’s actually a fun way to be useful in your local community and improve your surroundings.
Is Litter Picking for me?
As long as you are able to walk short distances, use a litter picker and carry a bag (make sure you don’t fill it so it’s too heavy to carry back!) litter picking is for everyone.
It’s one of the few activities where you can benefit from both mindful time alone and social time as part of a group. Most group picks tend to start and finish together, but you can wander off looking for litter if you prefer more peace and quiet.
It’s for all ages and many people have started to take part in litter picks as a family activity.
